UTair Aviation JSC
UTair Aviation JSC is a Russian airline, one of the largest in Russia. The company performs passenger scheduled and charter transportation both within Russia, and abroad; it is also a major operator of helicopter transportations (it has the largest in the world fleet of Russian made helicopters). The main airports of location are Roshchino (Tyumen) and Vnukovo (Moscow).
The company traces its history back to the summer 1934 when the first flight along the Ob route Tyumen – Tobolsk – Samarovo (now Khanty-Mansyisk) – Berezovo – Obdorsk (now Salekhard) was performed. In 1967 the Tyumen Civil Aviation Administration was set up that in 1991 was reorganized into the Tyumenaviatrans airlines. Since 1992 the company has performed its activity as an open joint stock company. In 2002 its name was changed to UTair.
